Let's be Frank

Fine food, a fabulous setting and top fashions were the perfect ingredients for the Frank Usher Fashion Show held at Cliveden House Hotel to showcase this season’s must-have outfits.

WHETHER YOU ARE ATTENDING Royal Ascot, a guest at a summer wedding, or sailing off into the sunset on a luxury cruise, there was something for everyone here (including a Frank Usher goody bag).

The show was a long way from the bustle and crush of a London Fashion Week event with guests enjoying the elegant format of a three course lunch in the hotel’s Terrace Dining Room overlooking the magnificent Parterre, before watching a professional catwalk show - with no catwalk.

Models walked up and down the length of the dining room giving guests and Cliveden Club members
the chance of a close-up view of the stunning collection of outfits.

These ranged from mother-of-thebride suits, to stylish cruise wear and elegant evening dresses.

The key trends for this are detailed fabrics, lots of satin, Guipure lace and feminine ruching and pleats.

Soft pastels set the tone of the day time collections, pale pinks, blues and greens dominating with the ever-stylish black and white combinations still hitting the mark.

Evening wear is much bolderwith fuschia pink, lime green, pink and red making bold statements. Metallic silver also makes an appearance in an homage to vintage.
